Custom Harley-Davidson Motor Scooter

I was tossing up between buying a $27,000 2012 Harley Davidson V-Rod and a $1000 2009 Bowell 50cc Jolie. vs

The V-Rod had hog like styling while the Jolie had under seat storage and hooks for you shopping bags. There were some other minor differences but in the end I decided to go with the Jolie with a side of hog

After a few hours in paint I had come up with this image “Harley-Davidson Motor Scooter”

I then bought these ingredients for about $30

Spent two days toiling at a friends house

But it was worth it to have a shiny new custom Harley-Davidson hog

And when it’s dark it’s pretty hard to tell them apart. Other bikies have started nodding back, I’m like a real life bikie now

Here are some more pictures to help you if you would like to do something similar, please feel free to ask questions

The puppy that followed me home

This puppy followed me home.

Her bum kind of looked like Jesus.

I put up some “Puppy Found” notices and then I let her sleep in my bed.

The next day I took her to the local vet and her owner picked her up.
I miss having a dog :(

Scooter for an art work

I’m back from my little trip :) My little scooter looked pretty lonely while I was away and I want him to feel important and loved again so I’ve put him up on Gumtree to try and swap him for an art work or a funky teapot.

Little Scooter

hopefully equals

The Mona Lisa

I’ll make my decision by the end of this super long weekend and hopefully have a funky artwork to share with you soon :)

So far I’ve had a half a dozen offers including an interesting painting of Lieyton Hewitt with “Tennis Pox”, some antique flower paintings, and a silver tea service set.

Water proof phone

Last Weekend I was out with some mates at a pub in Manly and I pulled out my water proof phone which obviously needed proving after a few drinks. It had been raining heavily for a few days and there was a bucket collecting water on the floor. While half way through a conversation with a mate I dropped it in, pulled it out, and the conversation continued. While it was pressed up against my face I noticed an odd smell. Soon after I figured out that we were on the ground floor of a two story pub so the water in the bucket wasn’t rain water.

Stinky Phone

reenactment…

I’m back online with the help of Virgin Broadband (which evidently works find with Ubuntu 10.04/Mint 9 in Australia) and all the book reading I promised myself I would do never happened :( Having books in my room makes me look smart so they’re still useful.

Wildlife in Pittwater

Once a week I volunteer for the Street Mission sailing program. We take clients for a sail around Pittwater which is the next harbour north of Sydney. Here are some photos of wildlife I’ve taken.

This is a pretty little bird that visited our boat.

There were thousands of jellyfish, this photo doesn’t do it justice.

Here is a Wallaby at the Basin.

I came across this sponge while looking for a present for mothers day :) It was cheap but after handling it I got a rash and it felt like pins and needles on the inside of my skin. I don’t think my mum would have liked it very much.

This is my favourite wildlife experience in Pittwater. I’ve seen dolphins before while sailing but these ones were different, they kept swimming sideways so they could look at me and once I moved from the back of the boat they followed me. It was very nice of them :)

I’ve also seen fairy penguins, sea eagles (having sex, they’re really really loud), and snakes but I haven’t been quick enough with my camera :(
